And Sometimes I Get Decision Fatigue…

Renovating all of Berrybrier has been an exhilarating, exhausting, exciting, and at times, excruciating process. To say it’s been wild, would be an understatement. I’ve loved it and I’ve hated it, but mostly I’ve loved it. So many people thought I was crazy when I bought this house. Looking back at the before pictures, I realize I was crazy! Maybe I still am? I wouldn’t trade this experience though. I’ve learned so much and gained so much confidence in my own design and DIY skills. I’ve had so much help with Berrybrier thanks to my giant family who’ve all contributed in so many ways. One thing I’ve done alone though? Bought the house and made all the decisions. And there have been a lot of decisions.

Art From Minted I’m Loving Right Now

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about artwork and how well it finishes off a space. It’s the eyeliner of interiors styling. My house tends to have a rather random assortment of pieces. I’ve got a small gallery wall going in the Living Room that needs tweaking now that there’s no longer a TV in that room. The pieces in my house that I really love are the big huge ones that have more of a visual presence. I think we often buy art that’s too small without realizing the impact a larger piece might have!

Whole House Color Palette: Berrybrier

It’s no secret I’m no white walls / white trim girl. I’m all about bold design and colorful spaces. I’m a traditionalist, a grandmillenial, a modern Victorian. Berrybrier absolutely reflects this and I wanted to to share the whole house palette today so you can see how — even though my house may read as colorful — the limited color palette unifies each room to the others.
