Inspiring Wallpapers for Any Style

I love wallpaper and wallpaper is back! The design world is really blowing up with different wallpaper designs lately. It makes me so happy, because nothing can make a statement like wallpaper. It’s like makeup for your walls. Today I wanted to round up a bunch of fun wallpapers I like for every style! You can check out a big round up of all the different design styles here. But every wallpaper below can work for at least a couple of these styles!

First, since it’s summer I had to share this fun Cole and Son’s citrus wallpaper, Arance. I mean, how cute is that? I love the bright happy colors and can totally see this in a kitchen like below or a fun kids room. It’s definitely a modern design, but could totally work in a traditional setting too!

Speaking of citrus and Cole and Sons, I’d be delinquent if I didn’t show you this amazing tree filled wallpaper that I’m just so obsessed with. It looks so gloriously moody from afar. They call this paper Forest and it definitely gives me fairy tale vibes!

This traditional wallpaper has the tiniest hint of fun though, with cute orange covered trees amidst the evergreens. I adore it!

Next up, let’s stay in the Cole and Sons family, but go a little boho. Take a look at this wallpaper. It could totally work in a traditional home or something truly bohemian. It comes in lighter tones too, if this bold hued one isn’t quite your style.

I can’t talk boho without mentioning the queen of bohemians, the creator of Jungalow: Justina Blakeney. This lady also gets the big cat vibe and brought this beautiful wallpaper to life! This is definitely boho and such an amazing piece of art for your walls! I love the friendly little tigers and the colorful scenery.

For a more subtle boho vibe, this eucalyptus tree inspired print is so serene and still bohemian. I think it would be stunning in a bathroom or living room for a deep relaxation vibe! The hints of gold metallic are so fun and add just the right amount of pizazz.

Now for something a little more neutral, but equally fun, check out this dinosaur wallpaper from Sian Zeng! Called Dino, this could not be cuter. It comes in a few colorways and would just make a powder bathroom sing!

Now for something a bit more mature. This subtle print from Farrow & Ball is so soothing and calm, yet still so interesting! It’s called Tourbillon and comes in a ton of great color ways from light and tonal to bold and contrasting.

For something a bit bolder, but with the same swirly vibe, check out Hygge and West’s Daydream. This wallpaper is so charming and sweet. I think it would be lovely in a dining room above some crisp white wainscotting or even in an entry with the paper climbing up the stairs. It comes in a whole bundle of color ways from subtle to bold, so there’s something for everyone’s style!

For something bolder, Hygge and West delivers with their City Toile print. It’s the best thing for a world traveler! Featuring various architectural sites from around the globe in a modern take on toile, it’s subtle and fun! I love the high contrast black and gold print, but it also comes in neutral colorways.

Clean geometric more of your style? Take a look at Hygge and West again. Their Strike paper is the perfect modern geometric. It’s lines still look hand done, while the overall pattern is a bold, yet subtle geometric.

This modern floral strikes the right balance of contemporary and traditional. The navy hue with pops of red makes me smile every time. It’s Osborne and Little’s Malleny pattern. It’s simple and gorgeous and it has just enough metallic to create interest without going glam.

To return to the whimsy, I have to mention Beware the Moon’s Ostrich wallpaper which makes me laugh every time I see it. I have this pinned up next to my desk, I love it so much. Yellow Brick Home installed it in their laundry room and it’s too sweet!

If applying wallpaper makes you nervous, or if you’re in a rental, consider removeable wallpaper! Tons of your favorite brands are launching new removeable wallpaper lines and they are GOOD! Urban Outfitters has this lovely Terrazzo pattern which is just the right amount of color to jazz up your apartment’s white walls!

Target is also on the bandwagon with this fun print. It’s the perfect mix of mid-century and today. Its harder lines feel like the perfect contrast to more organic furniture shapes. I love this colorway for it’s neutral versatility too!

Anthropologie is also on this trend with everything from bold to subtle wallpapers in their library. I love this clean, crisp stripe that can go from contemporary to traditional.

Are you on the wallpaper train now? Which print is your favorite from this round up? Or do you have a different source you love? I want to hear about it! Now… who thinks I should wallpaper one of the rooms in my house?

  1. I am very much on board with the wallpaper train. I would like something Andrew Henry’s Meadow (the children’s book) inspired for my powder room.
